National Skilled Trades Day at Coates Bros. Roofing

May 1, 2019

National skilled trades day is a day established to acknowledge the work that our tradespeople do every day. At Coates Bros. Roofing, our trade workers go above and beyond the standard roofing services to provide our clients with a exceptional work.

“We not only celebrate National Skilled Trades Day today but we take the time to recognize the work that our skilled laborers do throughout the rest of the year as well,” says Chris white, Vice President of Operations at Coates Bros. Roofing. “It is not easy work. We are lucky to have such an awesome group of commercial and residential roofers representing our business”

There has been a decline in skilled trade workers due to a labor shortage in the United States. Coates Bros. Roofing relies on dedicated and hard working tradespeople in order to stay in business. According to the Associated General contractors of America, 73% of construction firms surveyed are having trouble finding hourly trade workers in their field.  A lack of skilled trade workers is a threat to the entire construction industry as businesses work to fill positions with qualified personnel.

Today we are taking the time to say thank you to our roofers and shinglers who do an incredible job for not only Coates Bros. but for all of our clients. It is because of our crews and their hard work and attention to detail that has allowed us to stay in business for nearly 70 years!

We are always on the lookout for employees to join our commercial and residential roofing departments. If you or someone you know may be interest, they can apply online here or stop by our office to fill out an application at 7516 W River Rd S, Elyria, OH 44035.
